THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS. DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED ABOUT THE WEEK 5 NOMINEES AND THE POWER OF VETO OUTCOME.
Derek X., the veto king, is the Head of Household, and he planned to employ the backdoor method this week.
Derek X. chose to nominate Britini and his own alliance member, Sarah Beth, for eviction after a series of one-on-one sessions with the houseguests. Christian, on the other hand, was his actual goal.
Backdoors are always reliant on the outcome of the Veto Power battle.
So, who competed in the Power of Veto competition, who won, and will the Veto be utilized this week? Continue reading to find out.
The Head of Household (Derek X.) and the two nominees (Britini and Sarah Beth) played for the veto this week, as they always do. Kyland, Alyssa, and Claire were also chosen to take part in the game.
Despite the fact that Alyssa is in a showmance with the actual target this week, Derek X. tried to lull her into a false feeling of security in order to prevent her from winning and keep the nominations the same.
Britini, who is now on the market for the third time, just won her maiden Power of Veto competition. It's not just Britini's first competition victory; it's also the first victory for the old Jokers' surviving team members.
Unlike previous weeks, the HOH wanted someone, preferably Britini, to be removed off the block. Derek X. and everyone else hoping to backdoor Christian this week will be pleased with the outcome.
This week's veto challenge included rewards as well. Sarah Beth didn't get the veto, but she did get money.
Is the Veto Going to Be Used This Week?
Britini will certainly utilize her veto this week to get herself off the block. Derek X. will, as expected, nominate Christian as a substitute nominee. He's already made it clear to Alyssa that the goal isn't to backdoor Christian this week, so it'll be a heated veto battle.
Christian and Sarah Beth are both members of The Royal Flush, making this the season's greatest HOH change. It's been very clear-cut evictions of the consensus house target up until now.
On Thursday, who will return home?
Although everything went according to Derek X.'s plan, it's not as clear who will go home on Thursday as it has been in previous weeks. The houseguests are split on whether Christian or Sarah Beth poses the greater threat. The Cookout is split on the issue as well.
Tiffany wants Sarah Beth to leave because she believes Sarah Beth and Kyland have a final two deal. Sarah Beth is also untrustworthy, and she dislikes her demeanour. Sarah Beth has shown a desire to attack Hannah from The Cookout, so Xavier is suspicious of her.
Sarah Beth is a close friend of Kyland's, and she will be upset if she is voted out. One thing is certain: The Royal Flush will not survive the veto ceremony.
