“I portray a young girl who aspires to become a Bollywood actress,” Kriti Sanon previously told Mumbai Mirror about her part in Mimi. Yes, Mimi has her own goals, which is why she accepts to be a surrogate mother. It's the most beautiful script I've ever seen, and Mimi was one of those movies that I decided to be a part of right from the start.” 

“It's not preachy or serious,” she said to PTI. It's not like you're going to see a documentary film on surrogacy. It's a highly enjoyable picture with a lot of ups and downs and a lot of hilarity. There's a lovely graph of Mimi, the character I'm portraying, who aspires to be an actress.”

The narrative focuses on surrogacy, and it's Kriti's second collaboration with Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar, as well as her third with co-star Pankaj Tripathi. Kriti and Pankaj previously co-starred in Luka Chuppi and Bareilly KI Barfi.
