Ariana Grande advises her followers to get vaccinated.
Ariana Grande is urging people to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
On Sunday, the Positions singer took to Instagram to issue a "gentle reminder" to those who have not yet been vaccinated against the virus, as well as links to information about the Delta variant, which is currently spreading across the United States after being discovered in a number of countries, including the United Kingdom.
She captioned a photo of herself wearing a mask, " "Vaccinated and masked
"This is a friendly reminder to obtain your immunizations if you are eligible; the fight isn't done yet! I'm sharing some information because I care and, if I can, I'd like to assist anyone who is unsure or inquisitive about making a decision.
"This delta variation is very new, and because data is always changing, I'll provide some links for you to keep up to date on your own, but so far... we do know that it spreads far more easily than prior variants." The majority of cases are among the unvaccinated and in regions where vaccination rates are low!
"And sure, you can still catch it if you're vaccinated, but the vaccination can help prevent you from serious sickness, hospitalization, and death!"
In my opinion, these are all excellent things to be safeguarded against. Oh, and if you've already had a COVID-19 infection, you should STILL be vaccinated! (sic)"
The 28-year-old musician went on to say that receiving their vaccine may "save a life or two.", as it could help to protect those who can't have the jab.
"Please and reassure yourself why being vaxxed is the right decision, save a life or two," she continued. "I don't know."
Ariana's request comes after numerous other celebrities have spoken out about the significance of vaccines, including Sean Penn and Sharon Stone, who both refused to work on film sets unless everyone was vaccinated.
In addition, Matt Damon recently stated that he wishes more people have compassion for others when it comes to vaccines.
"It's terrible for me because I have a couple friends who are immunocompromised and can't receive the vaccination, so they have no option but to rely on the rest of us to get to herd immunity," he added. So that's how I see things.
"I wish people had come out and said at the start, 'Look, if we all do this, we'll be able to defend each other better,' rather than, 'Well, I'm not in this cohort, so I don't have to worry, and it won't affect me that much.' It's just a matter of deciding if this is I'm or a 'we' issue.
"But, see, it's a matter of personal preference." America's attractiveness is that it is a free country. And none of us wants it any other way. However, I err on the side of believing science over what you read on Facebook."
Since its discovery in China in December 2019, the COVID-19 virus has infected 200 million individuals globally, killing an estimated 4.3 million people. In the Caribbean island of Jamaica, A total of 1,200 people have died as a result of the illness. On the weekend, nearly three out of every ten people tested positive for the virus. The third wave of the virus has arrived in Jamaica, according to Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who has urged Jamaicans to be vaccinated.
