Apple Music started a Livestream via an in-app takeover in the early hours of Thursday morning, ahead of Kanye West's second webcast of his delayed new album, "Donda," at Mercedes Stadium in Atlanta.

West performed a similar live-streamed session in the stadium two weeks earlier, ahead of the album's initially intended release date of July 23. West has hosted similar listening sessions for his past two studio albums. However, like he has done in the past, he missed the deadline to work on the album more, and the release date was pushed out to August 6. West is said to have moved inside the stadium to concentrate on the record; only time will tell if he meets the deadline.

The Livestream is prominently displayed on Apple Music's home page, but users must first join up for the streaming service in order to access it.

However, West's official website has a link to a Livestream of the real event, which is set to begin at 9:30 p.m. ET. The preceding event was supposed to start at 8 p.m. ET, but it didn't start for another two hours. https://www.kanyewest.com/

The broadcast is reminiscent of Frank Ocean's similar "event" on the service five years ago, when fans were forced to watch practically nothing for lengthy periods of time in anticipation of his "Endless" album.

According to Complex, the broadcast began with a countdown clock mounted to the wall of what seems to be West's living quarters within the stadium. Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa, co-producer Mike Dean, Steve Lacy, Fivio Foreign, and others were among those who stopped by at various times. West made many appearances, including one where he was performing push-ups.

The broadcast included footage of West napping about 11 a.m. ET.

According to Apple Music, the stream's audio has been "deliberately muffled," at least for the time being. It's unclear how long fans will have to wait to hear the enticing sounds of West performing push-ups.
