Gina Krasley, star of 'My 600-lb Life,' has died at the age of 30. 'Dancing was her biggest passion.'

 Gina Krasley, the star of "My 600-lb Life," died at the age of 30.

"The loss of Gina Krasley, who chronicled her weight-reduction journey on My 600lb Life," the network stated in a statement on Twitter Friday. "At this sad moment, our thoughts and prayers are with her family."

According to her online memorial, the Tuckerton, New Jersey resident died Sunday "at home surrounded by her loving family." Her cause of death remains unknown.

Her love of dance was cherished by her family. On TikTok, Krasley launched a viral dance craze called #dancinghasnosizelimit, which has received 3.2 million views.


"I won't stop dancing even if others urge me to stop," she stated in a video set to Meghan Trainor's "Better When I'm Dancin'." Dancing has NO LIMITATIONS." LIMITATIONS." (Krasley's TikTok account, which has more than 240K followers, has now been made private.)

Her online obituary states, "Her biggest love was dancing." "She hoped to one day start a dancing class for youngsters with special needs." Gina starred in a movie called Walking to the Waterline when she was younger, and she liked playing video games and spending time with her family."

In 2020, Krasley made his debut appearance on TLC's "My 600-lb Life." She admits to using food as an "escape" when she was a child to deal with abandonment difficulties, her father's violence, and other family strife.

"My life has been difficult," she said on the show. "I've always felt as though my entire existence had been swept under the rug... Eating helped me forget about the agony of being abandoned."

Krasley claimed she weighed more than 300 pounds at 14 years old and that when she approached 500 pounds, "it started to get tougher to accomplish things." She stated she became "immobile" at over 600 pounds, forcing her wife to care for her.
