Rudy Pankow is putting up a fight for his girlfriend!
On Friday, the Outer Banks actor resorted to Instagram to address so-called followers who have been hating on his girlfriend Elaine Siemek! The actor initially thanked fans for their support after the current season of the adolescent drama premiered on Netflix (inset, top), but then he got to the crucial announcement.
Getting candid on socials, he shared:
“Unfortunately, I'm here to speak out the disrespect and harassment someone who I love deeply is receiving on a daily basis,” he wrote on social media. It's reached to the point where lies are being circulated and allegations are being made that go beyond the conventional definition of 'hate.'"
While he didn't mention Elaine by name, the photo and tag made it clear who he was referring to. Though it is unknown why the young woman has recently been the target of such venom... the issue has definitely taken its toll on the pair.
The 22-year-old went on to give examples of the violent criticism that prompted Siemek to temporarily take her Instagram account private, saying:
“Not only is she not what she is accused of being, but she actively is the polar opposite. It's not acceptable to accuse someone you don't know of being abusive and manipulative, especially if you don't know the relationship personally.”
It's not acceptable to accuse someone you don't know of being abusive and manipulative, especially if you don't know the relationship personally.” Those are significant changes that should never be utilized out of context; otherwise, the false claims risk delegitimizing the validity of someone else's true complaints. As Rudy stated in no uncertain terms for this specific pair, it appears that those preconceptions could not be further from the reality (always wonderful to hear!).
“I'm quite content in my current relationship. I know I don't aggressively express how happy we are together on social media, but it's my personal choice to keep the majority of those times to myself.”
Given that Elaine worked as a behind-the-scenes assistant on the North Carolina-based TV show, it's likely that the two started dating while on set. However, because their connection is so secret on Instagram, it's difficult to tell how their relationship has progressed. Even another reason why viewers shouldn't have been commenting on something they didn't know about!
The Deviant leader went on to condemn those of his members who choose to utilize their "anonymous identity" online to spam an innocent person with ill will, saying:
“In this age of social participation and awareness, I want to emphasize the significance of spreading positivity and understanding when it is unjust to express your personal dislike for something or someone, especially when you can do it anonymously.”
Very well said! Only good vibes, people! Check out the complete statement from the Alaska-born artist (below)!
