Machine Gun Kelly Has Officially Entered the Beauty Business

Meet Un/Dn Laqr, the rapper known as Colson Baker's genderless nail polish line.

Machine Gun Kelly Has Officially Entered the Beauty Business

For the 90 billionth time, we'll say it: the explosion of celebrity beauty companies shows no signs of slowing down. As we all know, the United States Congress recently approved legislation requiring every celebrity to start a beauty brand of some sort. * (*Actually, no.)

Machine Gun Kelly became the latest celebrity to enter the cosmetics sector on Thursday with the introduction of Un/dn Laqr, a gender-neutral nail polish line. [Insert joke about "I am nail polish" here.]

Because the rapper, also known as Colson Baker or simply "MGK," is one of many male superstars who like wearing nail polish, it's a reasonable method for him to profit from the ever-growing beauty industry. In the black-and-white marketing photography supporting Un/dn Laqr's debut, the artist appears naked and moodily, wrapped in chains, since he knows his talents (and his fans).

Un/dn Laqr's debut collection features ten nine-free colours that will be available separately for $18, in eight distinct three-piece sets for $52, and in three six-piece polish packages for $86. According to a press statement, the colours were picked "not based on popular trends, but rather selected colours that are appreciated regardless of season." 25 to Life (orange), Mary Jane (green), Party Favor (pink), Sandstorm (tan), and Blank Canvas (white) are just a few of the colours available. There are also two top coats, one matte and the other glossy, both of which may be used as a base coat. One of the six-piece sets is titled "Put Me On Top," while another is titled "Wet Dream" – all are risqué. As of Thursday, Un/dn Laqr will be available for purchase directly from the company at undnlaqr.com.
