Madonna blasts Instagram as sexist for removing ‘exposed’ nipple photo

She's only expressing her feelings.

Madonna condemned Instagram as sexist after the social media platform reportedly erased part of the singer's breast from a recent sensuous picture session without warning.

"I'm reposting photographs Instagram took down without warning or notification..... The reason they gave my management that does not handle my account was that a small portion of my nipple was exposed," Madonna, 63, captioned an Instagram post on Thursday in which she was seen posing on a bed in lingerie and fishnet stockings with a red heart emoji strategically placed over her nipple.

The "Material Girl" singer expressed her displeasure with folks who sexualize a nipple, despite the fact that it is only a vehicle for feeding new life.

"It still amazes me that we live in a world where every inch of a woman's body is visible except her breast." She wrote, "As if it's the only portion of a woman's body that can be sexualized." "It's the nipple that feeds the baby!"

She also brought up the inequitable double standard in society, in which males are permitted to bare their chest while women are not.

"Isn't it true that a man's nipple can't be erotic??!! "And what about a woman's ass," she continued, "which is never banned anywhere."

"Giving gratitude that I have managed to keep my sanity despite four decades of censorship, sexism, ageism, and misogyny," she ended. "We take down information that infringes our guidelines anytime we uncover it, no matter who posts it," a spokeswoman for Meta, the umbrella company that owns Facebook and Instagram, told Page Six in a statement. While we recognize that not everyone will always agree with where we draw the line, our policies are intended to keep people of all ages safe while allowing for as much expression as possible on our applications."

The spokesman went on to say that everyone is subject to Instagram's regulations, and Madonna's photo was taken down due to adult nudity. Meta also mentioned that their nudity standards have evolved over time in response to community criticism on photographs of nursing, demonstrations, art, and educational or health-related postings.

Madonna first shared the series of intimate photographs on Instagram on Wednesday. She also posted a few topless pics and was seen posing in all sorts of crazy positions with her butt on full display.

"Angel watching over me," she captioned the photo at the time.

Madonna's raunchy photos elicited reactions from a number of celebrities, including 50 Cent and Kate Beckinsale.
