In a recently discovered footage, Jennifer Lopez criticizes Ben Affleck's "terrible" tattoo.
Which is hotter: Jennifer Lopez's blistering critique or the inked-on flames?
Fans are resurrecting a 2016 interview in which J.Lo criticized Ben Affleck's iconic back tattoo of a phoenix rising from flames, following their reconciliation.
“It's terrible!” exclaims the speaker. When asked about her former flame's fiery design, Lopez stated on "Watch What Happens Live" at the time.
She said, "And I would tell him that." “Can you tell me what you're doing?” It's a jumble of hues! His tattoos are typically overly colorful. You know what I mean? They shouldn't be that bright. They should be, like, a little bit cooler.”
In 2015, after his divorce from Jennifer Garner, Affleck unveiled the much-maligned tattoo. While he initially claimed the ink was fake, he has now justified it, admitting that the public reaction was "not that favorable."
“It symbolizes a significant part of my life. “It means a lot to me,” he stated in 2019 on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “It appeals to me. It's something I've kept hidden for a long time... My tattoo is one of my favorites. I'm rather pleased with it.”
With Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 48, rekindling their romance this spring — and even getting Instagram-official during her birthday trip this weekend — fans wonder whether Affleck will follow in the footsteps of Pete Davidson and seek tattoo removal services.
I know Ben Affleck does not need my concern, but I can't help but worry about how bad a tattoo he'll get if Jennifer Lopez breaks up with him. I'm picturing a full chest and stomach rendering of Spartan soldiers defending Fenway Park from a siege.

“JLo is planning to get Ben Affleck's back tattoo removed,” says JLo. One tweeted, "I'm delighted for him."
“I bet JLo has Ben keep his shirt on at all times, she doesn't have the patience for that crap tattoo,” someone else said.
During their PDA-filled Saint-Tropez trip, Affleck kept his T-shirt on, but that didn't stop him from replicating a steamy scene from Lopez's "Jenny From the Block" video by going in for a booty grab.
The “Dinero” singer seemed to have found a way to look past Affleck's tattoos, as she wore a “Ben” necklace in Monaco on Monday to pay respect to her on-again boyfriend.
However, if she chooses to attack his back tattoo again, many celebrities will undoubtedly support her.
In 2016, Garner, the actor's wife from 2005 until 2015, expressed her displeasure of his massive tattoo, telling Vanity Fair, "You know what we would say in my hometown about that?" 'Bless his heart,' says the narrator.
