Lil Nas X has once again surpassed his online haters, ladies, and gentlemen of the jury.

The rapper teased his forthcoming track "Industry Baby" with a two-minute clip on Monday, mocking his Satan Shoes scandal earlier this year.

As the "Old Town Road" rapper goes on trial, Lil Nas X assumes several disguises to portray the judge, defendant, prosecutor, and juror in the video, a reference to the real-life legal fight he had with Nike.

The rapper, whose actual name is Montero Lamar Hill, partnered with Brooklyn-based fashion firm MSCHF to design a special Nike Satan shoe to follow up his track "Montero." The shoe's demonic allusions caused outrage on social media. MSCHF was subsequently sued by Nike for trademark infringement, and sales of the shoes were halted. MSCHF agreed to purchase back any Satan Shoes at their original retail price of $1,018 in order to remove the product from circulation, and the case was settled in April.

The case in the prelude video to Lil Nas'x new release isn't one of trademark infringement against Nike.
"There's a lot more going on here than just shoes. Are you homosexual, Mr. Nas X? "The self-described prosecutor inquires.

"What does this have to do with the shoes?" says the narrator. Lil Nas X retaliates.
The prosecution then asks, "Does your mother know you're gay?"

The 22-year-old rapper is pressed by the courtroom to respond, and he eventually answers "yes." Lil Nas X gets sentenced to five years in "Montero State Prison" by the judge.
After releasing the video, the rapper posted photos of a mug shot as well as an inmate ID to further promote the new song on social media.

Lil Nas X was dubbed a "brilliant" and a "masterclass" in both marketing and humor by fans who appreciated the teaser.

"Lil Nas X is a master of marketing. This is excellent, "a user said.

"I'm sick this dude is a comic genius," another person remarked.
"I don't have any other option than to Stan. At this point, my options are limited "@broadwaytail penned an article.

Kanye West and Take a Daytrip collaborated on the new tune, which will be released on Friday. Jack Harlow, the rapper behind "What's Poppin," is also featured on the new single.
The second single from Lil Nas X's highly anticipated album "Montero" is "Industry Baby." The project's release date has yet to be determined.
