Buddy Valastro claimed that when Gigi Hadid met him for the first time at Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, earlier this year, she was moved to tears.

The 44-year-old Cake Boss star described how she 'cried' before hugging him after their enjoyable afternoon creating cakes together.

'She grew up watching Cake Boss and watched it with her family,' he told TMZ. 'We were together for approximately four or six hours.'

He went on to call her "such an incredible lady" who was "even more gorgeous on the inside than she was on the surface."

He said, 'We had so much fun constructing a cake together,' before complimenting her on her 'amazing' sense for color and detail.

As part of her new Harper's Bazaar cover story, the new mom clocked in at his famed bakery last month to master some frosting methods.

Gigi, a lifelong devotee of the King of Confections, lost her cool and became the ultimate fan-girl, describing her job as his intern as a "dream come true."

Gigi said on social media at the time, 'I have been waiting [what feels like] my whole life for my first day at @carlosbakery.'

For Harper's, the model and the baker shot a 12-minute Instagram video in which they adorned two blank canvas cakes using a range of piping and frosting methods taught by Buddy.

Buddy appeared to be recovering well following a horrific unexpected accident in 2020 that badly damaged his hand and nearly ended his career.

He was able to teach Gigi how to pipe, frost, and paint a variety of edible flowers for each of their tiny white cakes.

Buddy stated that cake decorating is more of a 'creative art,' as opposed to cake making, which he compares to science.

'I was honored when I found out you were a fan,' Buddy remarked.

Buddy and his long-running TLC show Cake Boss are a great hit with Gigi. She's also a gourmet who enjoys cooking, baking, and entertaining at home, so she jumped right into the confectionery challenge.

The model confessed that she enjoys sitting in front of her computer and watching frosting videos on Instagram, which she finds'very relaxing.'

Buddy told the beauty, 'Listen, you tell me what you want to study, and I'll teach you.' Gigi shouted, 'I want to learn everything!'

Buddy first demonstrated two distinct icing flower piping techniques to Gigi.

When Gigi tried it out for herself, she exclaimed, 'Oh my gosh, they're horrible.' Buddy encouraged, 'That looks really nice, Gi.' The model replied, 'Thank you, Bud.'

During the video, Hadid discussed what baking meant to her and shared an emotional tale about preparing a scratch-made carrot cake for her Oma (grandmother) for her last birthday before she passed away.

Hadid used flowers to create the symbolic cake, and her Oma said it was the finest cake she'd ever had.

Meanwhile, Buddy said that after learning how to make them from his father, Carlo's Bakery's famed lobster tails are the one dessert that means the most to him.

The intricate cream-filled flaky pastry, which is akin to Italian sfogliatelle, is not only a big seller at Carlo's, but it's also what Buddy claimed he'd want if he were 'heading to the electric chair.'

Even when compared to Buddy's cake, Gigi managed to construct a gorgeous flower dessert towards the conclusion of the video.

'I had the pleasure of spending time in the kitchen with @gigihadid lately.' @harpersbazaarus' August cover star Buddy described the event on social media as "to go over basic cake decorating skills."

'Gigi truly wins my heart by telling me about all of her favorite #CakeBoss experiences!' she adds.

Buddy has been rehabbing his right hand following a horrible event last year, and it's been a hard road to rehabilitation.

The 43-year-old celebrity baker's right hand was impaled in a strange accident with the pin mechanism of his at-home bowling alley equipment in September of 2020, causing significant tendon and nerve damage.

Between his ring and middle fingers, a one-and-a-half-inch metal rod penetrated his hand three times.

Buddy Jr. and Marco had to use a saw to release their father from the machine, and he was admitted to the hospital for treatment and numerous operations.

By April he had told Rachael Ray that he'd regained about 75% usage of his right hand again and Buddy appeared to have no issues while working with Gigi.
