Film Vodka Is Covering Akshay Kumar Interview With Pinkvilla

Akshay Kumar has always been a pioneer in the Hindi film industry, paving the way for unconventional roles. He's always been a trailblazer, from playing a transgender lady in Laxmii to delivering stories like Pad Man and Airlift to viewers. Bell Bottom is his most recent picture, which is getting a theatrical release following the epidemic, and although most producers and directors are choosing for an OTT release, Bell Bottom is sticking to the old school and releasing the film in theatres.

Pinkvilla inquired as to why he picked the large screen over the digital one. ‘Jab kissi ne nahi kiya, tab Maine Laxmii OTT pe release ki thi,' says the singer. When Pinkvilla asked Akshay how he managed to shoot not one, not two, but five films in the thick of the epidemic, he said, "What should we do?" A police officer goes to work as well, and journalists are out doing their jobs today. Darr toh lagta hi hai (I'm scared), but Covid has now become an integral part of our life.  We will have to live with it, we will have to keep ourselves in check.”

Returning to Bell Bottom, he recalls a particularly vivid scene from the film: "When the plane took off with 200 people, and I remember until we were seated in the plane, everyone was silent because you never know when someone from Scotland might call and say, "Please don't come, we're canceling the visa, take a U-turn." So when the plane took off, I remember everyone in the plane screamed." Because they were imprisoned in their houses for five months and azaadi ki ek feel aayi thi (felt like liberation).' Cinderella is his next project with the creators of Bell Bottom, and when questioned about the role and what spectators could anticipate from the film, he responded, ‘It’s a psycho-thriller and I’m not the Cinderella, that’s all I can say and the room burst out in laughter.

After a brief hiatus, Kapil Sharma's program is returning, and it appears that Akshay has already begun filming for the upcoming episode. ‘It's a lot of fun, with a lot of humor and masti. You can absolutely anticipate all of that from The Kapil Sharma Show,' adds Akshay about what to expect from the show.

Finally, when Pinkvilla asked him how he manages to balance so many films, sponsorships, and reality programs at the same time, he said, "I don't know why people believe it's impossible." It is doable; I have to make four films every year, each of which takes 40 days, for a total of 160 days. You have 205 more days left where you can do ads, go on a holiday with your family for a month, host reality shows, and another 52 days you can take off on Sundays. It’s pretty easy. 365 days and 24 hours a day, you can do so much!’
