'Modern Family' star Julie Bowen saved a New Jersey mother who collapsed while hiking. 'Bowen was much like the good Samaritan in the Bible,' John later remarked of him.
Julie Bowen, well known for her role as Claire Dunphy on the hit TV show 'Moden Family,' has reportedly saved a hiker in Utah's Arches National Park. Minnie John, a woman from New Jersey, was hiking with her husband and kid when she became unconscious. According to reports, John passed out, striking her in the nose and shattering her spectacles as a result of the collision.
Bowen and her sister, who is a doctor, rushed to John's aid at that point. They discovered her on a rock, nursed her wounded, and subsequently assisted the New Jersey woman in obtaining care. John was treated for a cracked nose at a nearby hospital and received five stitches. She is presently recovering and thanked Julie Bowen and her sister for helping her. Bowen has starred in 'Modern Family' from 2009 to 2020, alongside Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ed O'Neill, and others.
Who is Minnie John?
Minnie John, of Oradell, had gone on a hike in Arches National Park in Utah last week to see the renowned Delicate Arch. Because of the hard nature of the climb, she felt dizzy and light-headed the entire time. She subsequently acknowledged that she was not a frequent hiker and that she had misjudged how demanding the trip might be.
John had to pull over and rest on a rock to regain her breath, but she didn't want her family to miss out on the beauty of the 52-foot-tall arch. As a result, she decided to take a break and requested her husband and son to continue on without her. However, John collapsed and she fell flat on her face, hurting her nose and shattering her spectacles. "I bent forward into my knees and was holding my head. That’s all I remember,” she later recalled. She had no one to help her amid the wilderness, had it not been for Julie Bowen.
Bowen and her sister, Dr. Annie Luetkemeyer, were on the trek with John at the same time. They discovered the woman asleep on a rock and rushed to seek aid. John regained consciousness after hearing a familiar voice on TV, one she likes hearing after a hard day at work.
Minnie John first failed to identify Julie Bowen because she was dazed. When Bowen smiled and pulled her hair down, she inquired whether they had met previously. "Can you guess?" she allegedly asked John, who was already in awe of meeting her favorite celebrity at the time. "Wow, you're stunning," she said with delight. Meanwhile, Bowen's sister bandaged John's nose as Bowen assisted her with her recovery. "When you're all alone and have no one, you only have God," John later explained. "And God sent them. I wasn't even lying there. They saw me fall and they quickly went to me and took care of me, exactly like the good Samaritan in the Bible."
