Loki, The b**tard and trickster brother played by Tom Hiddleston, is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
To Thor's knowledge, Loki died at Thanos' huge, purple hands in Avengers: Infinity War's terrible start.
After the events of Endgame let his previous self free, fans have since seen Loki in Doctor Who mode on Disney+. However, Thor's fairly wicked sister is dead in this timeline and world, so a beautiful memorial will have to suffice.
The Loki tribute in the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer is blink-and-you'll-miss-it.
Following a brief, vibe-only teaser, this trailer provides a more detailed look at what to anticipate from Taika Waititi's Thor sequel, which stars Russell Crowe as Zeus.
Thor looks to be in difficulty at the end of the trailer. He's bound with lightning cords, and Zeus, mistaking him for a disguise, flicks off his robe, exposing him to the masses. Naturally, this causes the women of Mount Olympus to pass out.
If you can look away from Hemsworth's pixellated backside for a second, you'll see a short homage to Loki: Thor now has a back tattoo of the mischief-renowned maker's horned helmet.

Fans were quick to spot the homage among other enthusiastic comments to the teaser on social media. "I adore Thor and all his tiny ways he pays respect to Loki," one person tweeted, while another added, "Me having my lunch and sobbing at Thor's memorial tattoo to Loki so how's everyone's day going so far."
"NOT A BROTHER TRIBUTE LISTEN IT'S HALFWAY THROUGH THE DAY I CAN'T GO THROUGH THIS," another commented.
"Let's simply not focus on what's below Thor's waistline and gaze at his back," a third tweeted. Those are unmistakably tattoos, one of which is dedicated to his brother Loki. His trademark horn helmet. Thor pays homage to his beloved brother."
Given the MCU's multiverse chaos, there's always the possibility that Hiddleston may appear in Love and Thunder. He hasn't acknowledged or denied any such attendance, as one might anticipate.
"I'm living in a question mark," he stated in a previous interview with Total Film. It's all a mystery. I used to believe I could forecast things like this, but I honestly have no idea. I'm not even doing an Andrew Garfield impression! "I'm simply not sure."
There's more of Natalie Portman's highly anticipated Mighty Thor and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, now serving as King of New Asgard; and, most importantly, we have our first glimpse at Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher, the movie’s main antagonist.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas on July 8, 2022.
