After contracting COVID-19, Kevin Connolly's family is on the "path to recovery."

On Friday's edition of Victory The Podcast, the 47-year-old "Entourage" actor said that not only did he catch COVID-19, but his newborn daughter was also hospitalized with the virus at the age of six weeks.

"My baby has COVID," Connolly revealed of his daughter Kennedy Cruz Connolly, whom he welcomed in early June with actress Zulay Henao. "I went to get a prescription and was looking at this piece of paper when I noticed the word 'age.' '43 days,' it read on her (prescription)."

Connolly claimed his daughter Kennedy had a fever and bodily pains, which necessitated hospitalization. "Babies under 1-year-old and children with certain underlying illnesses may be more prone to suffer severe sickness from COVID-19," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

"It's been difficult. It's difficult when your child is ill, you know? "he stated, "Because it isn't much you can do."

Although Connolly did not say how long Kennedy was in the hospital, he did say that his daughter is "doing well." "It's just the congestion," he said, "but the fever is gone and we're all back on the mend."

Despite being "dually vaccinated," Connolly claims he acquired the illness.

"This isn't a political comment," he added, "but there's no doubt in my opinion that this vaccination saved my life since the symptoms, albeit severe, were controllable." "I'm over it now, but without that vaccination, I wouldn't want anything to do with the Delta coronavirus."

Henao has tested negative for COVID-19, according to the actress, "which further demonstrates the vaccination works since she literally had two ill crybabies draped all over her, myself and Kennedy, and she didn't get sick."

On June 9, Connolly announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram.

"She has finally come!!! Kennedy Cruz Connolly is all set to play in Game 6!!!" In the midst of the 2021 Stanley Cup Finals, Connolly captioned a photo of his newborn wearing New York Islanders hockey club apparel. "It's difficult to convey that we need to win one of the next two games to advance. She's just been alive for a week!! Henao @zulay_ Thank you for preparing her for puck drop!!!"

"Bringing you into this world has been the biggest honour of my life!" Henao wrote with numerous images of her daughter's entrance in the delivery room.
