Months after the ancestry incident, Hilaria Baldwin claps back at haters remarking on her child's skin tone.
Trolls with "quite a bit of time" on their hands got a humorous reaction from Hilaria Baldwin.
On Wednesday, Alec Baldwin's wife took to Instagram to express her displeasure with comments made about her children. On a boat excursion on Tuesday, the couple, who have six children together, were having some summer fun.
Hilaria posted a photo with her youngest daughter, Maria Lucia, on Wednesday morning, along with the message: "I understand...
Sleuths, I know...
My skin is darker than my children's. They are, in fact, mine."
"Trying to stay on top of all these ideas... I must say, you have a lot of free time on your hands "she said.
Hilaria's tweet also contained laughing and heart emoticons, implying that she isn't bothered by the harsh feedback.
The fitness instructor's retort comes months after she was chastised for a heritage controversy. The 37-year-old yoga/wellness guru was slammed in December after it was revealed she wasn't born in Spain, as she had claimed, but was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Hilaria was also chastised for supposedly impersonating a Spaniard. When the multilingual mother of six appeared on television, her accent changed considerably over time.
Hilaria apologized on Instagram back in February.
"I've been listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I might learn and develop over the past month. My parents reared my brother and me in two cultures, American and Spanish, and I truly feel a part of both."
"The way I've spoken about myself and my strong connection to two cultures might have been better articulated," she said. "I could have been more explicit, and I apologize." I'm proud of how I was raised, and we're teaching our children to appreciate and respect both.
"We've built our community on being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow, and I want to go back to the loving and caring atmosphere we've created together," Hilaria said.
Hilaria also disclosed her true name, Hillary, after the news first broke.
Hilaria had an interview with The New York Times prior to coming out on her own social media account, in which she attempted to address some of what she claims are misconceptions about how she has portrayed herself.
She explained, "The things I've disclosed about myself are quite apparent." "Boston is where I was born. I traveled to Boston and Spain. My family has relocated to Spain. When I was 19 years old, I went to New York and have lived here ever since. For me, it feels like I've been telling that tale over and again for the past ten years. And now it appears that it is insufficient."
Maria Lucia, 4 months, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 10 months, Romeo Alejandro David, 3, Leonardo ngel Charles, 4, and Rafael Thomas, 6, are Hilaria and Alec's children, together with Carmen Gabriela, 7. Alec is also the father of Ireland, a 25-year-old daughter.
