Rihanna teases new Fenty perfume
What can't Rihanna do at this point?
The Barbadian singer has already made her mark on lingerie, skincare, and cosmetics, and now she's expanding her Fenty brand to include scent.
The 33-year-old diva teased her forthcoming perfume launch on Wednesday afternoon by sharing two black-and-white marketing photos to Instagram.
“#FENTYPARFUM COMING SOON,” she tweeted.
While Rihanna did not provide a release date or other specifics about the scent, Fenty Beauty customers may get a free sample with any purchase of $40 or more through August 8 by entering the code FENTY at checkout.
The design legend posed in an off-the-shoulder leather jacket and thin-strapped camisole, with little makeup and numerous diamond earrings.
She also wore her hair in a side part with slicked-down sideburns.
“YES, RIH!” Artist Hayden Williams commented on Rihanna's post, "EXPAND ON THAT EMPIRE," while Lizzo simply wrote, "Wow."
“I can't wait until #FentyHome!” joked photographer Quil Lemons. I require the bed sets.”
While many admirers appeared to be equally enthusiastic by the singer's fragrance, others couldn't help but remark her long-awaited return to music. “We were anticipating the Fenty album, but it's fine boo,” one user remarked.
It is not Rihanna's first excursion into scent; she previously launched numerous fragrances through a licensing arrangement, including Reb'l Fleur, Rogue, and Nude. However, Fenty Parfum is her debut fragrance under her own label.
The bad girl is also known for constantly smelling nice; other celebs Lil Nas X, Nick Jonas, Jennifer Lawrence, and Ryan Seacrest have all praised her unique perfume in the past.
The multi-hyphenate also has a slew of other fashion and cosmetics ventures on the go. Despite the recent closure of her premium Fenty label with LVMH, she has had significant success with her other companies.
Her billion-dollar Savage X Fenty lingerie business, which produces intimate clothing for both men and women, has created a name for itself with a yearly fashion show broadcast on Amazon Prime; celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Laura Harrier, and Lizzo were among those who attended the 2020 event.
Rihanna also applied to trademark "Fenty Hair" in March.
