Brie Larson teases "a Lot of Really Juicy Things" in Captain Marvel 2 The Marvels are a group of superheroes.

Brie Larson is reprising her role as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The 31-year-old Academy Award winner previewed what's next for her character in The Marvels on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show on Wednesday.

"Gosh, there's so much going on, so many very delicious things going on that I can't talk about," Larson remarked. "But, oh my goodness, is it wonderful. And you'll be really enthusiastic about it."

She also gushed about working with filmmaker Nia DaCosta on the follow-up to her MCU solo debut in Captain Marvel, which she made in 2019.

"She's incredible. She's so cool and straightforward, and she's fantastic "Larson said of Candyman writer/director Jennifer Lee, who joined on in August to become Marvel's first Black female filmmaker.

"What I liked about her, too, was that she had the finest pitch," she continued. "That's what I like about it: she simply walked in, was ready, and had such a unique perspective on the topic and the picture. And I'm overjoyed that she's in charge. I'm overjoyed."

Larson will reprise her role as Captain Marvel (a.k.a. Carol Danvers) in The Marvels, which will premiere on November 11, 2022, and is set in the current day. Teyonah Parris joins her as Monica Rambeau, the role she recently played in WandVision after Akira Akbar played a young Monica in Captain Marvel.

They'll be joined by Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel (a.k.a. Kamala Khan), Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-Joon in unspecified roles, as well as Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-Joon in unspecified roles.

With a $153 million opening weekend in North America in 2019, Captain Marvel earned Marvel's second-best opening for an origin tale, trailing only Black Panther's $202 million debuts in 2018.

The seventh-best opening for Marvel Studios was their first female-led film, which crossed the $1 billion mark shortly after.

At the film's premiere in March 2019, Larson spoke with PEOPLE about how the role has influenced her. "I'm not sure whether it's simply weary, but I'm about to weep. I've been working on this film for a number of years," she explained. "Carol has transformed my life, and the film hasn't even been out yet."

"I'm just becoming stronger, learning to hold my ground, own myself, and respect my voice in particular." Larson said, "Those are things I learned from her."
