Jenna Dewan claims Channing Tatum was absent at the birth of her baby.
Jenna Dewan reminisced on her early parenthood experiences, revealing that she gave birth to her daughter Everly without her then-husband Channing Tatum.
During the August 2 episode of Dear Media's podcast Dear Gabby, the Step Up star said that she was 'without a spouse' for weeks after giving birth.
The 40-year-old actress, who gave birth to Everly in London while Channing was filming there, said she traveled with the baby while working.
Due to his own work schedule, Channing "wasn't accessible" to be with them immediately after Everly's delivery, according to Dewan.
"I had to go with her, and Chan wasn't available to be with us for the most part," she explained regarding her business trip to Vancouver at the time. "So it was just me, my doula, and Evie on our own for six weeks."
"That was extremely challenging since that was long hours," the Step Up actress recalled, recalling how difficult it was to manage parenting and work. I did have her with me on set all the time. It was just really challenging."
"And I would say I experienced a lot of postpartum anxiety," she said. "It was like though I never stopped." You know, you're up a number of times in the middle of the night and then you work all day. I was pumping, nursing, and without a companion, I mean it was just craziness."
