Margot Robbie, the actress of the Suicide Squad, told PEOPLE on Friday that the reality dating program "is a major part" of her life.
This article may contain spoilers for the current season of Love Island in UK.
Margot Robbie's wish may have been granted.
After learning that the actress was a huge fan of the iconic U.K. reality show Love Island, the actress, who turned 31 on July 2, received a belated birthday shoutout from Hugo Hammond on Cameo.
"Hey Margot, it's Hugo here," Hammond, 25, said in the video. "I'm fresh out of the Love Island house and I hear you're a big superfan." "I also understand you had a Love Island-themed birthday party,"
he added, "so I'd just want to wish you a happy birthday and you are 100 percent my type on paper, and if you came into the villa, my head would have been turned."
Robbie has already married film producer Tom Ackerley, whom she married in 2016, despite being a Love Island devotee.
While promoting her new picture The Suicide Squad, the actress spoke to PEOPLE about her passion for the reality program.
"It's a huge part of my life," Robbie explained.
Robbie's personal and business circle isn't the only one who enjoys the programme.
Robbie said, "[The Suicide Squad director] James Gunn is also a great admirer."
Joel Kinnaman, 41, who was present at Robbie's Love Island-themed birthday party last month, said, "She imposed it onto my life."
"Yeah, I forced you to try Love Island," Robbie said, "but did you ever watch any of it?"
Kinnaman, on the other hand, hasn't. "I think I saw snippets of it back in the day, or maybe it was something similar, like Paradise Hotel, or something, but sure, I need to go back into it completely."
Robbie went on to explain that the show's relationship and friendship dynamics fascinate her. Her favorite seasons and contestants?
"If I had to choose a favorite season, I'd go with season three, and if I had to choose favorite competitors of all time, I'd probably go with Liv [Olivia Attwood] from season three and Maura [Higgins] from season five," she added. "They're definitely my two all-time favorites"
(For those unfamiliar with Love Island or its contestants, Liv and Maura are particularly beloved by fans for their entertaining confessional interviews and coining key catchphrases.)
"It's so good. Liv coined 'dicksand,' and Maura coined 'fanny flutters,' so, between the two of them, iconic," said Robbie.
"I mean, honestly, if you start talking about Love Island, I'm not going to stop because there's so much I have to say about it," she said.
Love Island UK is available to watch on Hulu. The Suicide Squad is now available to watch in cinemas and on HBO Max.
