A SUSPECT has been detained in connection with the death of famous actress Lisa Banes in a hit-and-run accident.
Earlier this year, the Gone Girl star was killed by an electric scooter on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Brian Boyd, a 26-year-old New Yorker, lives on the same corner as the fatal collision on June 4, 2021.
The scooter driver allegedly jumped a red light at the junction of Amsterdam Avenue and West 64th Street and fled after the accident, according to witnesses.

Patrol police recognized Boyd from a wanted poster and captured him late on August 5, 2021, according to the New York Post.
He was charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal collision and failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crossing since then.
Police have not confirmed if he is represented by an attorney who can speak on his behalf.
Last year, over 243 individuals perished in road accidents in New York City, making it the worst year on record since 2014.

When she was attacked by an e-scooter on her way to see her wife for supper, the sad 65-year-old Broadway actress suffered a catastrophic brain injury.
The Julliard graduate, who played Tom Cruise's older love interest in 'Cocktail,' was "hurled from a crossing" as she was leaving her apartment on Amsterdam Avenue.
"We are heartbroken at Lisa's sad and needless passing," her manager, David Williams, said in a statement.
"She was a lady of tremendous passion, generosity, and dedication to her job, whether on stage or in front of the camera, as well as to her wife, family, and friends. We were really fortunate to have her in our lives."
Lisa is survived by her journalistic wife Kathryn Kranhold, whom she married in a modest ceremony at City Hall four years ago.
Celebrities, friends, and former coworkers paid tribute to the late actress, who was best known for her roles in Cocktail, Pumpkin, Freedom Writers, and A Cure for Wellness.
