Kris Wu has been accused of rape by a woman in the United States, adding to the growing list of claims against him.

A lady from Los Angeles has come forward to claim that Chinese-Canadian actor Kris Wu drugged and raped her. Wu was detained last week in Beijing on rape allegations.
Since then, more than 24 Chinese women have come forward with identical accounts of being loaded with drink and then being pushed to have sex with, or sexually attacked by, the 30-year-old.

Wu, on the other hand, might face criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits in the United States as a result of the current claim.

The woman said she went to one of Wu's now-famous drinking parties and had her phone taken away. She stated that little white pills were given around and that she had blacked out before being sexually assaulted.

She said she was too frightened of being victimized to speak out after the event. She was also concerned about being accused of extortion since she thought she lacked hard evidence.

Due to Wu's frequent visits to Los Angeles for promotional events, the American legal firm defending her pushed more claimed victims to come forward.

Wu's problems began in July, when Du Meizhu, an 18-year-old Chinese student, accused him of having sex with her while she was unconscious in an explosive Weibo exposé.

He had already lost numerous big businesses as a result of the incident before his arrest. His social media profiles, which had millions of followers, have vanished in recent days.

Other male celebrities, such as Singaporean singer JJ Lin and Taiwanese actor Will Pan, have also been involved in the scandal, but they have vehemently denied any association with Wu.

Angelababy, a Chinese actress and model, won a lawsuit against a netizen who made up rumors about her, including that she was cheating on her husband, actor Huang Xiaoming, with Wu, earlier this week. - Asia News Network/The Straits Times
