Big Time Rush is making a big-time comeback after a seven-year sabbatical.

The boy band, who rose to prominence thanks to their Nickelodeon program of the same name from 2009 to 2013, revealed on Monday that they will play two forthcoming performances on their official Twitter account.

"WE ARE BACK!" stated the tweet. "It's been a while, but we're thrilled to see you again! Let's make up for the time we've lost."

The band will perform at the Chicago Theater on December 15 and the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on December 18. On Big Time Rush's website, fans may join up for first access to pre-sale tickets.

Along with the tour dates, the band shared a video on Twitter that included amusing updates on what each of the band's four members had been up to.

A narrator states, "It's 2021." "The people of the globe are bracing themselves for a massive return."

Kendall Schmidt, 30, is seen trekking in the woods; James Maslow, 31, is seen working on a car; Carlos PenaVega, 31, is seen wrangling his two children; and Logan Henderson, 31, is seen "working on that Ph.D." while playing an intensive game of Operation.

The narrator continues, "The show must go on." "Big Time Rush is what the world needs right now."

The news trended on Twitter on Monday, with fans expressing their delight and nostalgia for Big Time Rush.
