Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will play together for the final time at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
For "One Last Time," Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are reunited on stage.
Gaga announced on Twitter Monday that the longtime friends and colleagues will perform for a two-night performance titled "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga" on August 3 and 5 to commemorate Bennett's 95th birthday.
Gaga wrote on Twitter, "I am very honored and delighted to celebrate Tony's 95th birthday with him at these special concerts."
According to a press release, the gigs will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York and will be Bennett's final performances in the city.
Bennett announced he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2016 during an interview with AARP earlier this year.
According to the interview, he had not yet experienced usual symptoms like disorientation or periods of panic, wrath, or sadness, but "there was little question that the sickness had advanced."
Bennett has some "cognitive difficulties," according to Gayatri Devi, M.D., a neurologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan who diagnosed him, but "many other parts of his brain are still robust and working well."
The conversation also included Bennett's wife Susan Crow and eldest son Danny.
Danny revealed that he spoke with Gaga about shattering the taboo around his illness.
“I just wanted to make sure she was okay,” Danny explained. “Because she's always keeping an eye on his back.” 'Absolutely, it's simply another gift he can give to the world,' she said.
On Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, in New York, singers Tony Bennett, right, and Lady Gaga attend a ceremony to illuminate the Empire State Building in celebration of Bennett's 90th birthday.
In the interview, the 94-year-old singer also said that he and Gaga are working on a new record after their 2014 album "Cheek to Cheek." The album was scheduled for a spring release and was recorded between 2018 and early 2020.
Presale tickets for "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga" will go on sale on Citi Entertainment on July 21 at 10 a.m., and regular ticket sales will commence on Live Nation the following day at 10 a.m.
To attend the concert, all attendees aged 16 and up must be properly vaccinated against COVID-19 and present evidence of vaccination.
