Paulina Porizkova, 56, appears in a bikini to spread a potent anti-aging message.
Paulina Porizkova is pleased with her age.
On Thursday, the 56-year-old supermodel stood poolside in a string bikini, showing off her great abs and natural grey hair.
Porizkova also revealed her frank opinions about society's unhealthy fixation with keeping young in her caption.
“It's combat age. Reverse the ageing process. Rejuvenate. Anti-ageing. None of this is conceivable. However, if you conduct an online search on ageing, this is what you will see. “Anti-aging pills, potions, and workouts,” Porizkova began.
“Do you know what the only method to halt ageing is? Dying.”
The catwalk vet went on to say that she has no desire to fight her body and instead prefers to enjoy it.
“I don't want to have to battle myself every day for the rest of my life,” she wrote. “However, I do want to make the best of what I've been given. And I want to shed bright light in the dark corners of women's guilt for daring to age.”
Porizkova also mentioned Andie MacDowell, Maria Shriver, and celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff, as well as the hashtags #nobotox, #nofillers, #nointerventions, #nofilter, #noshame, and #proaging.
The Czech beauty recently told Page Six Style about her frank social media posts, saying, "The more I showed the reality and the real myself, the more people responded to it."
“I think we've made great advances in recognising all kinds of beauty; I think size and colour and all of these characteristics that used to be so standard now have widened to a fairly remarkable [degree],” Porizkova added. But ageing, ageism, is like the final frontier.”
The fashion legend, who went viral earlier this year after appearing “full-frontal nude” (and entirely unretouched) for the cover of Vogue Czechoslovakia, also told us that while she has never used Botox or fillers, she isn't opposed to lasers and other non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
But she also understands not to hope for miracles.
“Look, cosmetics and skin treatments will not perform plastic surgery on you,” she clarified. “It's not like you're going to utilise them and appear 20 years younger. It's not just unrealistic, but it's also impossible.”
