'Powered by love,' says Halsey of her first child with screenwriter Alev Aydin.
Surprise! Halsey is now a mother!
In an Instagram post on Monday, the 26-year-old singer revealed the birth of her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, with scriptwriter Alev Aydin.
"Gratitude. For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love,", "She wrote beside photographs of her new baby, delivered on Wednesday.
Halsey's representatives did not respond to a request for comment from USA TODAY.
The announcement comes less than two weeks after the singer revealed her punk-rock album, "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power," which she described as "a concept album about the joys and tragedies of pregnancy and childbirth" (due out August 27). A breast-bared Halsey holds a baby in a Renaissance-themed background on the NSFW cover image.

She captioned the photo, "This cover photograph highlights pregnant and postpartum bodies as something beautiful, to be appreciated." "We still have a long way to go in terms of removing the societal stigma associated with bodies and nursing. I'm hoping this will be a positive move forward!"
Halsey originally revealed her pregnancy in January with a photo of her baby belly on social media. She's sat, staring off into the horizon, wearing a rainbow tube top and a pair of undone pants in the photo.
"(S)urprise!" she wrote, followed by a bottle, a rainbow, and a baby angel emoji.
Halsey tagged Aydin with a tag on her belly.
The rainbow emoji is most likely a reference to Halsey's miscarriage five years ago while on tour. The term "rainbow baby" refers to a child born after a miscarriage. She subsequently disclosed that she had frozen some of her eggs on an episode of "The Doctors."
"Reproductive disease is so aggravating because it may make you feel like you're not a genuine woman," she explained. "There are moments when you're sitting at home and you just don't feel good about yourself."
"You're ill, you don't feel sexy, and you're not proud of yourself." You don't think there's a lot of hope."
