The title of Jordan Peele's next film will be "Nope."
The film's poster, which stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, was released by the director.
Nope. That is the title of Jordan Peele's next mind-bending thriller.
Peele, who is writing and directing the picture, unveiled the title and poster in a tweet decorated with only an ominous cloud emoji on Thursday morning.
Aside from the poster's slogan, which defines "Nope" as "a new nightmare from the imagination of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele," little to no information about the impending film has been made public. Daniel Kaluuya, who received an Oscar nod for Peele's first film "Get Out," co-stars in "Nope" with Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun from "Minari."

The Universal Pictures picture is set to be released in theatres on July 22, 2022. (NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC News, owns Universal Pictures.) Peele also co-produces the picture with Ian Cooper of Monkeypaw Productions.
Peele has an excellent box office track record despite having only two feature picture credits to his name. His directorial debut, the 2017 psychological horror-thriller "Get Out," was both critically and commercially successful. The picture, which starred Allison Williams, Lil Rel Howery, and Bradley Whitford in addition to Kaluuya, made $255 million worldwide and received four Academy Award nominations. His follow-up film, "Us," was released in 2019. A frightening thriller about a family being assaulted by a gang of doppelgängers also grossed $255 million worldwide.
Peele has worked as a producer on Spike Lee's Oscar-nominated "BlacKkKlansman," as well as the upcoming "Candyman" adaptation starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and directed by Nia DaCosta.
