BTS: J-Hope Wants ‘to Grow’ the Band’s ‘Music Globally’

With their tracks "Butter" and "Permission to Dance," BTS has held the top place on the Billboard Hot 100 for numerous weeks. J-Hope sat down for an interview with Weverse Magazine to discuss the band's achievements. J-Hope discussed his own ambitions as well as what he believes BTS will accomplish next in the interview. 

BTS' J-Hope refuses to ‘settle for' anything in his life.

BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have accomplished a lot since their debut in 2013. J-Hope said to Weverse Magazine that despite the fact that he has accomplished a lot as a member of BTS, he still wants to go even further.

“Um... I'm not the type of person that is content with their current situation. I could just keep living my life as is and do anything I want with it, but I'm not sure. J-Hope told Weverse Magazine, "I've already had so many great things happen to me, but I want to take things a step further as an individual and as a member of BTS."

“I had a notion one day: Have I been challenging myself in any way lately? What do you do when you're not singing or dancing? The answer, however, was no. So I made the decision to push myself and attempt new things, one of which was learning English. It's still difficult, and I have a long way to go, but with our present timetable, I'm doing my best.”

BTS' music should 'develop' even more, according to J-Hope.

BTS has slowly gained popularity throughout the world over the years, and the septet now sells out stadiums, tops music charts, and often breaks YouTube records. J-ambition Hope's for the future is to "expand" the band's "music internationally."

Weverse Magazine quoted the BTS rapper as saying:

“I believe my next move as a musician is to expand our music internationally. I've been doing some self-reflection recently, and there's a lot I want to do. I, too, have a lot of dreams. Making it this far with the band, and seeing the other pop musicians we've been competing with on the Billboard list, has really impacted me, and I'm now more serious about trying to convey something  So for example, I’m dreaming of growing our music globally since the environment to have good synergy with foreign artists has already been built.”
