Miley Cyrus performs for a crypto billionaire at a private Hamptons event.
Miley Cyrus performed at a crypto billionaire's private event in the Hamptons over the weekend, fresh off her performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Investment Partners, has been described as "one of Wall Street's hardest-charging party animals," and the pop diva performed at his Amagansett house.
We're informed the pop singer, dressed in a red leotard, sang classics including "Party in the USA" and "Wrecking Ball," as well as a rendition of Sinead O'Connor's version of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U."
As part of the Coney Island "Mermaid Parade" theme, the tent in which Cyrus played was decorated with gigantic mermaids.
Guests entered through a massive box-office-style entrance with neon lights spelling out "Novopark" and were dressed in theme costumes. Novogratz wore a bandana and a metallic jacket with no shirt and aggressively painted-on abs in an Instagram photo. One of his kids wore a sailor's outfit, while another wore a toga.
The carnival-style event had tents selling liquor, knishes, roasted corn, and ice cream, as well as an ice luge for beverages. A Nathan's pop-up was also there, replete with Hot Dog Eating Contest winner Joey Chestnut, who was reportedly wearing his championship belt and posing for photos with customers, according to a spy.
Aerialists dangled from tents, while stilt walkers patrolled a lawn with Instagram-worthy creations. There was also a "silent disco," where visitors could put on headphones, pick their favorite tracks, and dance the night away.
Due to his success with bitcoin, Novogratz has dubbed himself "the Forrest Gump of bitcoin." He has worked at Goldman Sachs and Fortress Group in the past. “Even by hedge fund standards, Novogratz, a former Goldman Sachs partner, is largely regarded a cowboy,” The Post noted when he left Fortress.
“He's been seen wearing diamond-studded belts and cowboy boots, among other showy ensembles. He was a helicopter pilot in the New Jersey National Guard for a short time.”
Guests at Novogratz's party were reportedly asked to donate to Project Most, an organization that assists East Hampton families with after-school and summer learning activities.
