A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas

Last year, when Apple TV+ announced that it will have exclusive rights to the Peanuts holiday specials, thus removing them from standard broadcast TV, the internet erupted.

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will continue to stream on Apple TV+, as well as be available for free on PBS.

These classic specials will air on PBS and PBS Kids at the following times this year:

  • “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will air on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET
  • “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

This year, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang will also have a new TV special to celebrate the holidays.

According to Variety, Apple TV+ is planning a special for New Year's Eve called "For Auld Lang Syne," which will be the first Peanuts TV special without Charlie Brown or Snoopy's names in the title.

The new special, which premieres on Dec. 10, is the second New Year's Eve-themed Peanuts chapter, following 1986's "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown."
