When it comes to blaming others for her naked photo controversy, Bella Thorne doesn't mince words.

On Wednesday, the actress, 23, replied to the arrest of her accused blackmailer by sharing her topless photos to stop a hacker who threatened to release them. The Department of Justice said that Joseph O'Connor, a 22-year-old British citizen, was seized by National Police in Spain and has been charged with several offenses, including extortion and cyberstalking.

"I want to thank the FBI for relentlessly looking for the individual who ruined my life and the lives of others a living nightmare," Thorne said on Instagram.

She went on to explain why she decided to share her own naked photographs in the first place, stating that she felt she wanted to reclaim her authority.

"I've felt raped many times in my life, but I didn't think there was any way out, so I made a decision... A decision I didn't want to make but felt compelled to make because I couldn't go another day feeling like someone was robbing me of my body, spirit, mental health, and love and hope for the world."

Thorne claimed she "woke up with optimism again, and a weight lifted off my shoulders" after learning of her alleged hacker's arrest. She does, however, have a message regarding the misogynistic reaction to her choice.

"For those who believe she deserves it' because she was there, had a drink in her hand, or wore a short skirt, and for those who believe she deserves it because she took the photo - and she deserves for everyone to gaze at it and inscribe every piece and part of her in their minds. Or since she took the shot, she deserves that one moment to haunt her and torment her every waking minute for the rest of her life. The who uttered those statements were filthy to those who heard them. I hope you're disgusted. To those select few. Thank you very much (crap)."

Thorne stated in 2019 that she was threatened with her own nakedness, sharing photographs and copies of text exchanges with the accused tormentor.

"I'm disgusted. "I feel watched, I feel like someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one particular person to see," she said at the time, adding that she was sharing the photos because "it's MY DECISION" and "NOW U DON'T GET TO TAKE ANOTHER THING FROM ME.""

During a June 2019 episode of "The View," Whoopi Goldberg blasted Thorne's nude photo incident.

"I don't care how old you are if you're renowned. You don't take naked photographs of yourself, do you? "According to Goldberg.

"When they hack you, they hack all of your belongings. So, whether it's one photo or a million pictures, once you take them, they go into the cloud and are available to any hacker who wants them, which is a problem in 2019. I apologize. It doesn't matter what your age is - you don't get to do it. You're not going to be able to accomplish it."

Thorne reacted angrily on Instagram, accusing Goldberg of victim-blaming.

"Whoopi Goldberg, I've loved you for a long time, yet I'm disappointed and hurt by your reaction to my spill. Is it fair to blame the girls for taking the photo in the first place? Is nasty and very repulsive, "She stated in a message that was shared on her account.
